Back in Bidness.

Jayzuz I have a shit-ton of things to list!!! I guess I was way happy to get back in the studio and went nuts.
The White Witch. Pale light halloween chandelier dangle earrings bone, pearl, assemblage rustic.
The White Witch.
I'm calling these Halloween earrings. Whether you like it or not! It took forever to get all the dangles positioned just right, and I finished the dangle shape with those little nubs of utee headpins. Shoulda photoed them against dark background so you can see it better...
I was gonna hang the following silhouettes in the center but then it was all too much...
Little Enchantments. Pale light halloween witch dangle earrings with star moon opals art beads mop silhouette.
Little Enchantments.
These are little mop witches, squee. Also, obviously Halloween themed. It's my favorite holiday by a mile, so I thought I'd do something festive. What's odd about these is there's opal cabs just facing straight down... might be a waste of opal cabs, hu?
Loooook- lapis lazuli slabulars from kathyhaul.
Unrepeatable. Lapiz lazuli, ceramic daggers and religious medal earrings on sterling.
Unrepeatable.
With little Mary medal from Lucy. And of course daggers with luster crackle glaze by ScorchedEarth. Gold medal from Uruguay. Sterling wires. Little bit of everything.
Druzy geode on chunky oxidized ring with coppery gold leaf. Look Closer.
Look Closer.
Is it weird or in some way lame to put things for sale that I made for the tute? Especially so soon after putting the tute up for sale? Cuz actually this one:
Theotokos. Rustic cosmic raw quartz gold leaf pendant necklace.
Theotokos.
I listed and already sold! So that's good... Had no idea what to price something with such a simple chain. Not used to simple things. But they're way more wearable so I should make some... But I always feel like I have to put more into them and I have so many supplies waiting to go ...
Raw amethyst with rhinestones on chunky oxidized ring with coppery gold leaf. The Imagination.
The Imagination.
But rings are slower to sell. Maybe. Or maybe I'm overpricing them? I never know.
Raw amethyst in deep purple on chunky oxidized ring with coppery gold leaf. Animate.
Animate.
Anyways, here's these rings.
An Idea. Rustic cosmic tribal earrings with smokey quartz crystal points and gold leaf.
An Idea.
And these I made using the technique from Cosmic Rocks, which, duh, why hadn't I thought of that before? I also made but haven't listed these:
Where the flash comes in with the rhinestone chain and gilded finish. I dunno if they're as successful. I like them, I'm not sure others will. Is what I mean.
All-Seeing Love. Sacred heart milagro necklace spiritual metaphysical occult esoteric. Rustic watermelon tourmaline ankh.
All-Seeing Love.
Finally got photos of my re-make of this. I realize though I forgot a close-up of the milagro. Hm.

Mom: You sold so many tutors!
Me: Yes, I'm branching out into human trafficking now.

 These I haven't yet listed.
Or this final green stack I finally got pix of:
Or these from the tute:
Or these also from the tute:
Or this from the tute:
My concern is that I inundate my shop with stuff from the tute and it look as if all that is unwanted crap? (Did you like the use of the question mark there? I picked it up on tumblr. Denotes an uncertain tone. Now I cancelled out my youthful coolness by over-explaining it.)
So yeah. Maybe I'll wait to list these? (Ehh? See that? Question ma... yeah you get it.)
What else? Oh yeah, this necklace that I spent ages on to get hanging just right:
As well as just spending ages on in general. Because look at it!
And no, that's not a kathyhaul carved mop, I purchased it legit on etsy. I was like, "I don't have enough pretty Victorian-type things." Then BAM! Kathyhaul.
I mounted the mop on a ceramic button someone sent me (using epoxy putty!). The doggie is heavy, from Sacred Cake. The thing with it has a monogram on the underside, from patroness. Wow, I really do get tons of gifts. Even the square chain was Pipnmolly.
The leather cord I over-wrapped with linen cord. Just occurred to me to. The white slab is Kathyhaul. It's hanging thick side up to mirror the way the beads get larger as they go up on the other side. Is that nuts? Finally, the keystone shape below that I leafed I think is from SacredCake. I'm happy with the little paddle pin hang thing I devised for it. Adds a touch of.... Whatever. This thing is chock full of details while somehow keeping simple. I guess nothing too crazy, just when you look closer every element is way special. Like these long links are embossed safety pins I sort of bent so they can't open any more.
Yeah, I just showed you a ton of pix of the same thing but it's special to me. So of course I don't know what to price it or how to list it. Should the names I have for items go at the beginning or end of all the jibber-jabber in the title? Sparrow said after to make the searchable words more relevant. But who finds me via word searches anyways? I dunno. What do you all think?
Look at all these things I just got from Ragged Robyn! These are bells. I actually pulled out the little 'clappers' so you could see them. You know I'm going to use separate those and use them for something else, though.

These have a little surprise:Underneath!
Swoon!!!

I dunno why but I'm particularly in love with these drops.

And now for something completely different. String theory described in an a capella cover of Bohemian Rhapsody. If you don't click play, you're not my friend.

Yeah I don't understand any of it either but I still think it's brilliant and amazing. And honestly sometimes I enjoy feeling stupid about some things. (That.... I just re-read that and it sounds insanium in the cranium. But there you have it.)

It's been 24 hrs so the coupon code is off. Thanks to Wildthorn Kim for helping me write this and Sparrow for the spot-on critique, you guys are so awesome and I'm so much better for knowing you. And thanks to Mom for continuing to call it my "tutor ... tutoring" and Dad for giving me so much shit I finally made the thing just to shut him up. They also took me out to celebrate it with French toast and motzaball soup. No lie.

Aaaaaand we're live!

OMG my brain don't work. I'm exhausted. Here it is.
My tute!
So but here's a question. Should I mention it's plumbing epoxy in the title? Or should I just call it epoxy putty because 'plumbing' makes it sound cheap? Cuz I kinda like that it sounds cheap like people will be curious to try something inexpensive, but Sparrow thought it just sounded cheap-cheap. What do you all think? Help with title por favor. Note: Just plain "epoxy putty" won out. Even got some votes via 'notes to seller.' Thank you guy so much for your help for realz!
Also you can get it for 20% off for a short 24 hours with the code COSMIC. Cuz you're my blog bitches and I love you. But if you don't enter it in the apply code section and put it in the note to seller section, I'm sorry. Just, no. Not only won't you get the discount, you'll owe me $32.58 exactly, because that's exactly how annoyed I'll be, I did the math.
I need to sleep a lot now.

Intermission~ Metronomes

They self-synchronize.
Hint- this wouldn't happen on a hard surface. The flexible board transmits the vibe, dude.
Meanwhile, look what LucieTales sent me:
From France cuz she's fancy like that.
Having had a religious upbringing, she can't bring herself to use religious medals in her work. I so get that.
But since I didn't have religion, I can see them just aesthetically. And they're just too yummy not to use.
Above and below are the exact same medals but flipped around.
Some will be hard to pick which side to feature.
I'm kinda obsessed with this tiny dark one.
I never showed y'all this amazing piece Numinosity sent me for my 39th birthday.
On the nail head is the number 39. Is that amazing or what.
Look at this from her shop.

I just read this on tumblr:
eating clocks is really time consuming
And then I had to slap my own self for laughing.

And finally, I have this song running non-stop through my cranium. But it's fantastic and the lyrics make me shiver, so Imma share the earworm.

Patience

Y'all will have to be patient for a bit. I've been working on a tute and that takes sooooooooo much time. Plus gotten ill during a horrific heat-wave with the AC broken. So I'm waiting for the repair guys while sweltering. I need to go downstairs were it's cooler but, oh, the 'puter's siren song!

*a choir of angels sing*

I. Have. A. New. Camera.
Seriously, I'm having a heart attack over it because it's so amazing. Look at these pictures I took in natural light at 6pm when in Chicago it's already twilight and but yeah look.
Took these late because I spent the day with the manual but when I actually turned the thing on and started fiddling, it was almost easy. And I'll never touch the settings again.
While I did need to brighten because, as I said, there's no light in this city, the detail is still crisp and resplendent. No need to sharpen! Leading to those bits of crunchy reflection I then have to blur out.

I took these too large and it took a while to download and edit because of all the info in large photos. Remember bitches, you only need small size photos for the internet. Large photo sizes are for, like, printing posters. And small ones makes everything you do with them much faster.
Now I for sure need to re-paint my awful mannequin though... You guys. I'm so happy and relieved. I didn't alter those colors either. Honestly I can't calm myself down! (I should mention its a Panasonic LX7 Lumix. I looked on line for 'best macro camera'. It was like $380.)
Also! I didn't make the focal people. I added the bottom danglies. But if you'd read the last post, you'd know this. The focal was made by the original necklace maker...
Oh, should I pick a giveaway winner? Hold on lemme do that. Ok, MARTINISFOR2, for the simple reason that I think you've entered in a bunch of my giveaways and never won a thing. So it's all you babee. I know you're supposed to do these things random, but I'm a rebel.
With a killer camera!!!!

earrings, gifs, re-makes, giveaway, stuff...

I am so sick of hating my photos that it finally dawned on my cheap ass how much I need to get a new camera. I had forgotten I was using one Mr. Devices got 6 years ago in Target for $100. Let's see what hateful photos I have for you today...
My second and final set of these dancing nymphs. This time on archeological dig rings.
Dunno if the chains make them harder to see.
A little pair of soldered Roman glass/garnet links.

Let's clear our palettes with a gif shall we?

Ok, now I'm ready for more images the quality of which fill me with bitterness and regret.

This kinda goofy pair include hollow blown glass and a mis-matched set of pitchers. The fact that the beads are hollow keeps them light for their size.

Here's some kyanite and rhinestone.

And here's a cat with a bunny pillow.

The thing that thrills me about this pair is how the colors match up and play off each other so perfectly, as well as the shapes. It's very hard when you're doing asymmetry to get all that to work, to even find combining elements in your stash, much less combining shapes that reverse each other like this. I should say the sweet papered cab was a gift from Numinosity Beads, as well as the paddle pin.

Same thing for this one. I was AMAZED I was able to find all these colors to reflect each other. Basically, I started with the paddle pins that matched not at all and had no idea I'd be able to find items to bring them together. On top of which they were able to remain light weight and EQUAL in weight which is another next-to-impossible goal in asymmetry. But I wouldn't want one ear all weighed down more than the other. I think that'd drive me nuts.

And here's some doggies racing strollers with other dogs in them. Man, if I ever tried to get Bingo to do this he'd just look at me with so much disdain.

What else?
Another pair of these. I ran out of the rainbow titanium points of this size, so I'm trying some of the smokey quartz from Kathyhaul. However, I had to jazz up the color.

Oh, here's a pair I just lost a while back among my listings. As I retook some pictures I realized I still really like these. What lady wants Lyndon B Johnson dangling off their lobes? I don't care, they're still adorable. In fact, this is another example of reverse color matching...  Or is it inverse? Cuz the pink face with the pink of the Czech bead and the green clover like the lampwork drop, you get it.

 Now look at this.

Two cutouts of my super thin tintype tin with leafing and on top some carved bone from Kathystash which I dakened a bunch. Simple and super lightweight.
Speaking of gold leaf, these.

And now cat cuddles mouse and vice versa.

Here, a gorgeous, mismatched pair of beatnheart pods are combined with some Kathyhaul octogonal/ flat/ pillow/ coin shaped beads. A little rosary center I clipped the top loops off of and a link from a Kathyhaul chain. Used some of those on the paddle pin ones above. Like em.

A redo. Originally:
But not only were they hanging wonky, The one teardrop druzy was essential for a different pair of earrings. So now they look like...
And they dangle perfectly.
4gifs:

Dog is better at yoga. [video]"Here's how you do it."

A while ago I took these down because the fucked up face on the right was driving me nuts.  Over time though the paper underneath has slowly cured.
Now...
An actual face is emerging. It's still not perfect and making me a little batty though so I just wanna give these to someone. Anyone want them?
If you do, let me know in comments. Just want them out of my hair.
And finally, a patroness necklace with focal from the necklace I've been taking and soldering the Roman glass/garnet connectors from. *panting after that sentence*
Finally a chance to use up all the gorgeous blue stones she sent.
I added a dangle to the focal of Roman glass teardrop and polygon stone.
But in my desire to use up all these lovelies...
I made it ridiculously long. Sigh. And since I didn't add a clasp it can't be doubled. But it also can't be doubled because all the back links are crazy huge and ungainly. I have other blue bits, I'll just get back to it later....
